One slight issue people may face if they have breakfast within the hotel was that a couple of days there were not enough seats for people. The air conditioning was quite outstanding in that it was so loud! Being November, we just turned it off but in the summer I would have requested another room.Lots of noise from within the corridors. The only negatives were the noise from within the hotel. But we didn't have any issues with the size. If you travel with 2 or 3 bags each, then maybe. The interior was lovely, the rooms were small, but I didnt find us wanting any more space. ![]() The lads working the door were polite, genuine, incredibly helpful and they made a English lad like myself (not used to all this tipping) feel at ease. The staff are excellent, I mean, really, they couldn't do anything else to help you. Myself and my partner stayed in this hotel back in November. however being someone that normally complains about views or things like that i didnt feel it necessary because id only be looking at a hotel across the street, its not what NYC is for. you get the atmosphere as soon as you get down and you can be watching the action from the rooftop bar with comforts, beers and a toilet! Only thing that could get better was the breakfast that comes with it and our room was small and had a view of a brick wall. We watched the all the New Years action from the rooftop bar (need to add in when we got ready we could hear Miley Cyrus from our room which pleased the girlfriend) and about 10 minutes from the ball dropping we walked out onto the street to get the atmosphere managed to get right up close to where others had been queue up for for 5 hours, you cant see the ball dropping but at the end of the day its a ball dropping. We spent our New Years here which consisted of a $100 buy-in for an all inclusive drinks service up to the countdown and there was no scam or con in it with them bringing in much cheaper alcohol. The staff at the main desk we're good for recommendations too and were very professional. The STAR concierge service is something you have to use as this is where the money you pay comes back to you, one guy in particular I cant remember his name turned into more of a friend than someone providing a concierge service. The guys on the door are quality, let you know where anything is and the best route get you transport to anywhere you want to go. Stayed here in the 2013/14 new year and wouldn't stay anywhere else in New York again. The staff that worked there when we went were some of the most accommodating down to earth guys you'll meet.
